Community Guidelines
Community Guidelines
Fava is a place to share real visit notes with people you trust. We value personal experience and relationships, not anonymous scores.
Core principles
- Record places you actually visited or have another legitimate reason to record
- Write from your own experience
- Treat people and restaurants with respect
- Choose the appropriate visibility for each record
- Check receipts and photos for personal information before saving
Helpful records
- Explain cuisine, budget, party size, and atmosphere
- Share dishes you enjoyed, useful occasions, or practical cautions
- Include information that helps followers make decisions
- Describe time-sensitive information as your experience at that time
Not allowed
- Claiming to have visited a restaurant you did not visit
- False, deceptive, defamatory, or copied content
- Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, sexual content, or illegal content
- Sharing personal information, addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or identifiable photos without permission
- Spam, advertising, affiliate content, or unauthorized copying of another service's data
Receipts and photos
Check for names, phone numbers, card information, and booking references before saving a receipt. Review receipt-generated drafts before saving. Consider the consent of anyone visible in a photo.
Reports and blocks
Report inappropriate profiles, records, notes, or accounts in the app. Block a user when needed.
Enforcement
We may hide or remove content, restrict an account, or suspend access when these Guidelines may have been violated.
Profiles before following
Before a follow relationship is established, profiles generally show only limited information such as name, bio, and record count. Restaurant names and exact map pins appear after following, subject to visibility settings.
